Pushing through the pain – Week 11 of Maratraining

This week went by in a hazy blur.  My uncle was on my mind.  It was hard not being able to be there to say our final goodbye.  On the day of the funeral I took a day off from the corporate, bought some doughnuts and spent time with my mum and dad and remembered the good old days including how much of a sweet tooth my uncle was.  It was also great to be home and not travelling for work. Back to the beginning – Week 4 of maratraining

I don’t know where this week has gone!  Work kept me extremely busy (payback for taking a  couple of  days off) and training just kind of happened.  I think I’m getting into the groove of things and really enjoying stretching my legs on the longer runs.  I had a my first “injury” this week (more about that later) and finished the week running the race that started it all – the Hobart Budget Fun Run....
